Got to come home early today so came back via Lush as some products for oily skin were recommended on here.

Got some Herbalism cleanser for mornings, Ultrablend for evenings, Tea Tree Water toner and Enzymion as a day moisturer.

They have a promotion on if you spend over 20.00 so got a free tub of their new Skin Nanny moisturiser as a night cream worth 25!!! She also gave me a free honey soap.

Fantastic customer service, she went through everything and what did what and works for what and how to use stuff.

What are your thoughts on Lush stuff?

lol! Was it me who recommended them by any chance? :O)
I'm really impressed by their customer service, they are always happy to help with advice, and are very generous with samples! I go there everytime I get the chance.
I'm using the same day cream as you and I love it! I'm using a different cleanser and toner though, but I'm thinking of getting the Tea Tree one. Can you report on how you find it please? I'm wary of it being a bit too harsh, as I have sensitive skin. :O)

It was yes :) I was sent home early as our practice manager said I looked knackered so to go and have a pamper so figured I'd treat myself :)

I went in to ask about the cleanser you recommended, the Angels one but she said that the herbalism may be better for oilier skin.

Not very convinced about them being in a block and some of the tubs are quite small but wanted a change from Boots Botanics so figured I'd give it a go as my make up just falls off esp in the recent humidity :)

I will definitely report back.
Love Lush and have an online account with them. Which reminds me, I'm running out of moisturiser.
I know what you mean about the blocks, it's a bit fiddly at first, but you'll get used to it. What I do is cut out a small portion of it (2/3 uses) and keep it in a small tub by the bath. The rest stays in the pack in an empty cotton buds box (lol), away from humidity.
Be careful with the toner, as the spray is VERY strong! It still makes me jump now! lol
fabulous stuff - after 20 years of spots, spots and more spots, greasy skin etc. i asked for help on here last week and max/velvetee pointed me in the direction of lush. i got fresh pharmacy cleanser, roma water toner and vanishing cream as my skin in very sensitive as well as greasy. in just a week, my skin is clear, shine free and about a million shades lighter as there isn't a gross layer of grease/dirt/make up all across it. and i've been outside/to work without makeup on!!! for me, that is a minor miracle. many thanks for your help earlier in the week and i am recommending lush to all my friends - it works, smells great, is all natural and is comparatively priced for similar products. great stuff!!!
Aw! That's fantastic news Stonekicker, glad we could help!

PS: do you think they'll give me a bonus for recommending? lol
Hi Jenna,

We have a Lush shop in Croydon but I can't go anywhere near it as the aromas are very pungent and I have a very strong sense of smell. Even if I walk past it on the other side of the road the smells waft over to me. I wish I could go and check the stuff out in there cos it all looks good enough to eat ;-)

I'm the same with perfumes. I can only use the light citrusy ones. They don't make me feel sickly! :-(
Interesting post! Has anyone got any ideas of what I could get for my 13 year old daughter, she has terrible spots and no matter what weve used they just wont go...never thought of lush, so if anyones got any recommendations and names of products, it would be very much appreciated!

Just pop in and ask them, the staff are brilliant and will show you and even give you samples to try on most things.

I asked about oily skin and they recommended the Herbalism cleanser and Enzymion moisturiser.
I'm like Tigger... I can't go in there... the smell makes me nearly pass out. One of my friends gave me some Lush *smellies* for a Christmas present and it was just the same... far too overwhelming in terms of smell/perfume, plus the soap gave me a rash... doh ! Maybe I've just got sensitive skin ?

I used to avoid it because of the smell but then think I got dragged in by someone and found that once i'm in there I'm fine and there are so many lovely testers like the lemon hand cream and lovely lipbalms (too nice to have on your lips if you know what I mean).
Thanks for you help Jenna1978! will do just that! x
i'm a big fan of lush and love treating myself to their stuff.

the nearest Lush to me is at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, and to be honest a lot of the staff there seem really moody. But it doesn't put me off too much cos the products speak for themselves. It's not the best Lush to be honest, it's a bit small. The Cardiff one and the Chester one are great.

Unhappychick - i know they do a face mask called "cupcake" whixh is meant for teenage skin.
Herbalism is very good for oily skin Jenna, Angels is also good.
I got one of their moistuirsers recently after years of umming and hhing and not impressed although I think they sometimes do a little tin as a sample for 1 which is redeemable on a full size pot.
Always loved their ballistics and bubble bars, not quite so impressed with their hair products. I used to go mad in there, often travelling to Chester just to go to the nearest shop, and spend a bomb, but I find them a bit overpriced to be honest and I think they've let their cult status go to their heads a bit.
Please let me know also how you find Herbalism, Jenna, I might switch to that for the summer. Also, if anyone's tried the new Vanishing cream, can they report back? ta!
I LOVE Lush!!! On Saturday I went and brought

I Love Juicy shampoo - smells lovely and cleans hair well
Dream Cream conditioner - smells gorgeous & leaves hair silky
Cupcake facemask - OMG, never smelt anything so nice and have had no spots since I used it!
A honey bath bomb - smells so good
A ma bar - smells good too and makes great bubbles
Honey I washed the Kids soap - mmm..
And because I spent over 20 I got a yummy yummy yummy shower cream free - smells of strawberries and leaves skin soft.
my favourite products is a black bar of soap which exfoliates your skin - I think the name has the word Whip in it. Crack the Whip, maybe? Anyway, it leaves my skin so soft, recommend it to anyone.

However, what I DON'T recommend is the Revive/Rehab shampoo and conditioner products. I washed my hair in them and left the house in a rush. By the time my hair dried, it looked like I'd tipped oil all over my head. My hair was thick and stuck together, and I had to have another shower when I got home to fix it. Never using them again!
Soozmac i know which one ou mean it's called "you snap the whip" i love the smell! It's not quite as good as the Joy of Jelly tho.

I'm sad they've finally stopped doing the B Cocktail Guest Soap, i hope they bring it back. I'm getiing a bottle of Cocktail perfume from B never too busy to be beautiful for my b'day in a couple of weeks, and i can't wait.
