I still can't believe it but I'm coming up to my 20th wedding anniversery this year.
We did live together for a year or two before we got married (If you haven't it might be different) but things don't really change that much after the big day. In fact there can be a bit of an anti-climax. You've spent so long focussing on the day that when it's gone you lack that focus.
Children are different, nothing is ever the same after that ever.

some men scared of marriage, like my bf, he would worry what gonna happen if divorced before he thinking of a marriage!!
i cant see there much you need worry about tho, you are thw two will give big commitment to each other, if you love each other much now, a marriage or a wedding wont change anything.

I often say to Mrs M, "I love you twice as much as yesterday, but only half as much as tomorrow".............
Your chap obviously means that he feels, as bednobs and R1Geezer, have said that he is 'full-up' already and can't imagine that he has any further capacity for his love for you.
He will, though; he just doesn't know it yet. :o)
