I'm of the opinion that tasteful tattoos onmales or females are fine, but I hate to see stand alone little 'sketches' of cartoon characters etc, I think they just look tacky.
My ex did the off however with some tattooed German moron so they clearly appeal to her...;-)

They look bl00dy stupid, i've never understood why anyone would want to mark themselves forever in this way. All these little butterfiles on the shoulder type things just look very tacky to me. So girls if you want a piece of the Geezer, forget the tough stickers ok!

I think they are hideous.
I've particularly hate the "tramp stamp" on the lower back that is popular with young girls.
The two most horrid examples I can think of are:
1. A wedding I went to where the bride wore a strapless low cut dress, displaying her tattooed boobs
2. A granny I see at the school gates who has her shoulders, arms & ankles tattooed. She's now very wrinkled.....and so are her tats. What is supposed to be a dolphin on her shoulder now looks like the creature from the black lagoon.

Cannot stand the sight of them. Look at the state of Amy Winehouse. I noticed she has one just above one of her boobs with an arrow pointing down and a sign which says Blakes. How ridiculous and how tacky can you get?

I have a tattoo and I generally dont find them attractive - I really think some people suit them better, I do like to see different looking people whether it be body art or piercing etc... But I for one dont suit tattoos - I regret it massively and I have only had it a few months. Some tattoos (the different more unique ones interest me, I would hate to think I look like everyone else) I on the other hand love every one of my piercings and would never remove them because of what some else thought.

I'm female - don't like them as a rule on other females. the odd small "tasteful" one out of sight is okay, but I would never have one.
On men - okay within reason. Not on face & definitely not covered in the damn things.

a friend of a friend... is 'letting' her boyfriend tattoo her body ~ as much as I like tattoo's I think this is a big mistake as she is not having a choice ~ and he is just 'marking' her as his own property ~ a decision she will later regret ~ ONCE she comes to her senses and get rid of him! and starts doing things for herself...
