I need to make some bees with children aged 2-4 in a nursery. I was thinking that I could draw a bee then get the children to stick yellow pieces of tissue paper and brown pieces of felt on to make the strips. Has anyone got any other ideas or advice on how I can improve my original idea? Thanks in advance
If you're looking for actual size then yellow thumb prints work, then just draw a cute face, a stripe or two and wings.
We did the same sort of thing with snowmen on christmas cards and wrapping paper.
Or, could you use some model magic? you could mould the bee shape and paint them once they're dry.
ooo, that website looks great, SMUDE. Think i might use the template on there and get the children to paint it yellow and stick on brown felt for the strips. Thanks for your idea karenmac60, i'll use pipe cleaners for the antlers
