Please help me stop sweating please :(:(:(

I sweat soo badly :(. I am not overweight or near it. I'm 15. I havn't started my period. I'm just into average hight for my age. It's not just my under arms that get soaked it is the whole of me.
After walking to school, I just have to sit on my chair and a wet patch appears on the back of my skirt or im walking round town and it appears on my jeans. Also my back and armpits are soaked but in school i care most about the huge wet patched on my skirt. The weather is always cold but it still happenes.
I have tryed everything. Nothing works. I can't help it but I actually hate myself because of this. I have tryed : loaads of deoderants including really strong perspireX and all of them are anti perspirant, covering myself in talc (to absorb it), i always wear cotton clothing, wearing less to keep myself cooler, i wash myself every day sometimes even twice, i use sanex deoderant and shower gel, drinking loads of water to reduce the smell although it doesn't usually smell so i stopped that, wearing more layers to absorb it before it gets to my outer layers, i also went to the doctor who said just to try anti perspirants which was what i was doing!!! :( :( :( i really hate myself.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.hi have you tried something called androyl forte. you can buy it from behind the counter at boots. i have the problem where i get wet patches under myarms all the time too. it dont smell but just embarrasing. this stuff really helped me. you apply it at night and wash it off in the morning. it costs about 7.99 but lasts a long time.
Aww bless ya, it's such a common problem, probably far more than you realise. Do a search as there are so many postings about this.
What deodorants have you tried? Various people on here suggest different ones, mine is usually Mitchum roll on with a light spray of Sanex on top.
I'd still keep in touch with your GP and maybe keep a diary as to how it affects you in case it could be something hormone related or caused by something else.
Do be careful though of layering as it will just make it more uncomfortable and miserable for you.
Try different materials and sizing of clothing , so your skin has more room to breathe and make sure you keep up your hygiene with a ph balanced antibacterial wash like Carex or Sanex.
Sweat doesn't not tend to smell if it is clean so that may help you with part of a worry.
Also don't overdo products which could end up clogging up your pores and making things worse.
I tend to wear looser fitting clothing in more breatheable materials and keep my feet cool (crocs are great for that) which tends to cool the rest of your body down.
You can keep wetwipes on you (antibaterical best) so you can freshen up at will and reapply anti-perspirant rather than keep layering it on. Just having them on you may make you feel more confident.

Poor you! Being a sweaty beastess myself i do have some sympathy and understanding of how difficult a condition this is to cope with. Go back to the gp and tell them the approach s/he suggested is not working, that this is causing you considerable distress and that you are not coping. If you do not have any success with the dr you normally see, go and see all the others in the practice until someone listens to you. boring, i know, but someone there will eventually realise how distressed you are and try to help you.
firstly, this could be an anxiety problem, where you sweat because you are anxious, then are anxious because you sweat - this is a vicous circle that can be controlled with medication (for anxiety - usually an antidepressant or beta-blockers to control heart rate/arousal levels etc).
secondly, as you are a teenager, your hormones are kicking in and you do produce a lot of sweat at this age and is usually (i say usually, here, ok?!) controlled by the methods you have already tried and described above. for me, this did not work either and i have used anhydrol forte (a kind of underarm paint to stop sweating), kept my body hair to a minimum (you know what i mean here!) and continued cleaning myself lots to manage the problem.
its not ideal as i still get spots, get sweaty and smell occaisionally, but it is much better and i do not get anywhere near as anxious about it as i used to, which is half the problem. i also had to visit two of the drs in my gp practice before someone would listen to me so persevere - you will get there in the end and you will deal with it in a much more objective way.
finally i would like to add that we all smell much more to ourselves than other people (it is our body, at the end of the day!) so you may think the problem is worse than it is, but equally you need to become happy with yourself and get to a point where you are not worrying so much.

I agree with the above answers. You must go back to the doctors and see a different one if you can. Say to him or her what you have said to us and ask what else they can do for you. Please don't hate yourself you are normal this happens to lots of people and can be treated. Is there anyone who can support you like your mum or a close friend? On TV recently I have noticed loads of presenters with sweat patches under their arms, these include: Louis walsh, dermot o'leary, and about 15 others that I can't recall at this time. It's quite common.
MITCHUM roll on is an excellent product. But don't just roll it on, you must rub these products it into your skin until absorbed to be effective. Aerosols are rubbish.
