hi,

I have a strange problem that i don't think most people have. I'm 20 year old female, who enjoys going out social drinking. Bascially whenever i drink alcohol (mainly wine and beer i drink) i wet the bed. I don't have to be really really drunk for this to happen. Maybe just typsy. This has been happening for over a year now. I have tried set alarms to wake me up once an hour to go to the loo, but for some reason i just don't hear them. This is really horrible for me as it stops me sleeping out. I have no idea why this happens.

Can anyone please help with this?

o dear
all i can suggest is sleep in the bath!
Alcohol is coma-tosing your sleep so ur not aware of your need to use the loo, plus your bladder is full. Keep off the alcohol and all will be well.
slight problem there terambulan....................

she's got a life!
are you drinking a lot? (some people sink a lot of drink to just become tipsy)
staying off the drink or limiting yourself to a glass of wine, depending on how tolorant you are to alcohol mightbe the only solution
meaning? wonk
Hi angry :o)

Is it only alcohol? What about if you drank the same amount of a non alcoholic beverage on a night out? Do you still wet the bed or manage to wake in the night to go to the loo?

I think it would be advisable to see a Doctor to rule certain things out like diabetes but doing simple pelvic floor exercises may help.

Sleep in a bath???? I have considered it!!! I guess i do drink too much really!!! On a night out probably 4 large white wines. Which i guess is moreless a bottle..... Hmmm problem remains still a mystery
Angry,Try not drinking for a day or two. If you still have the problem then I`d go to the doc`s. You may have an infection and need some antibiotics. You`re too young to have incontinence!
a bottle?
that's not much i will drink about 15 pints on a night out and still get up 4 a p*ss during the night.

ok it's sometimes in the wardrobe but hey!

jokin !

This only ever happens if im drinking....... on a normal day i would never wet the bed........ its driving me mad!!It doesn't happen every single time but still too much
"......relates directly to his use of alcohol. When some individuals drink alcohol, particularly if they tend to drink to excess (i.e. drink a lot of beer), they can ingest a lot of fluid that has to be eliminated from the body. This is accompanied by the fact that alcohol, especially when used in excess, has sedating properties that may render the brain less responsive to the body's signals. This could lead to a failure to awaken to use the bathroom once the bladder is full, and thus bed wetting...."

Hiya hun ive ****** the bed about 20 times after ive been on a heavy sesh and so have most of my mates so this is a lot more common than you think but many people just wont admit it so dont feel like your alone hun x
my lodger 29 years old male, when hes drunk, he wet his bed too.
i reckon just trying not to drink that much then, reduce to 2 glasses maybe next time.
wonkon-wonk.....most alcoholics defend their drinking as 'got a life'. I don't agree that drinking to excess is having a life.

Fine for the drinker but not those around them.
what the hell is that suposed to mean?
Hmmm, i am a binge drinker and only drink at weekends.
I must have at least 15-20 bottles a night, yet i can still get up and go for a pee.
Maybe you have a sleeping problem. You should try and go to the toilet just before you go to bed though.
I remeber having wet dreams when i was younger, but never wetting the bed. It could be through a fear of something. Are you subconciously scared or has something awful happened to you?
