Second oppinion from dentist

My mum has been to the dentist but isnt confident in his diagnosis (its nhs) how could she get a second oppinion,TIA

she could just go along to another dentist that is accepting new nhs patients (needs to ring her local PCT to get a list), simply make an appointment and pay for another check up
She could ask iof he will refer her to the hospital. I had an operation testerday based on something my dentist spotted at a routine check up last month, within a week i was seeing a consultant at the hospital and 2 weeks later I've had the problem removed and await the pathology results. They are more than just dentists these days, they are Oral Surgeons. if she is worried ask her dentist to refer her.
Most NHS dentist surgeries will have private dentists that work there too. Phone up and ask if there is one you can see privately. You don't want to be taken off the NHS list, you just want an appointment as a one- off.
