I am thick but not fat, I have meat on my bones. When I go out with friends, it seems that the guys turn their heads from me or ignore me and talk to the girls, kind of like i am not there! It really hurts! What are guys thinking?

Blonde, young, thin, fit looking, purely for child brearing purposes. This is their programming. But that's not all men, thank god. Maybe you are worrying about this too much. My sister is 16 stone, but because she is funny and bubbly and gorgeous, she is NEVER short of offers. Believe in yourself- make the first move! YOU try chatting to them first! They will be chuffed, honestly. Show interest in them rather than waiting for them to show interest in you. It would be interesting to get a man's perspective on this!
Personally, I find the waifs a complete turn off - look at Geri Halliwell now compared with two years ago, it is a vast improvement. Women should look womanly, i.e, curvy - they should not have the figure of a 10 year old boy. By the way, I've always preferred auburn/red headed girls - never quite got the whole blonde thing.
Don't pen all your hopes on finding a suitable mate in pubs or clubs. get some other hobbies and ones where you true feelings and personality are shown more than just your physical attractiveness. men will always try and go for the slim athletic looking girls on a night out, we have had a lot to drink and fancy our chances more so than in broad daylight lol
Use your best assets to pull the guys! I'm not thin, I've never been thin and I'm never going to be thin! I've never had trouble pulling really, just a matter of confidence. Now every time I walk into a room I think in my head, "I am the most beautiful girl in this room, everbody loves me" and my confidence goes sky high (not to the point of being arrogant and stuck up my own bottom!). It took ages to get to that point though because I had to overcome the fact that I looked different to everyone else. I wasn't stick thin or pretty so I used my brains and personality to show them what I had that these dumb blonde stick thin bimbo's didn't! I would talk with boys about football (you don't need to know much, just mention a team and they will rattle on at you for hours!), drinking and cars, try to get on their wavelength.
It's hard but try to exude confidence, it sounds to me like you are quite a shy person if you are standing there alone. Like somebody else suggested, why don't you go and talk to the boys first? You will be surprised at their reaction, but if they are mean to you just rise above it and tell them they aren't worth wasting your breath on and walk off!
