Fathers relationship with there daughters??

Cant see i have had a postive relationship with my father, dead years ago, but i have noticed that guys that i have dated have been heavily influenenced by there daughter or daughters, not by there sons i ask why????

Totally agree, its like there daughters run there love life, no one else can make them happy, strange what are they frightened of???

My father has three daughters for his sins and we're all very close to him.

We have always had a say in his life in as much as we're involved in it and if he asks our opinion or we have a concern for him then we tell him so and that works in reverse as well.

He's re-married to someone which he took a long time to tell us about because he wanted to be sure she would be a permenant feature in his life and although it shook my younger sisters a little at the time (bit of a suprise he was seeing anyone let alone seriously, especially as she's a fair bit younger than him), as long as our father is happy and in good health then we're happy for him and again, it works the same way round. We're very proud of our father, he's a good man.

Thank china such a good opinion, i am one of 3 girls,but some of these daughters control there lifes, when i dated men with sons no hassles!!

Well I guess there's women out there who would say the same thing about mothers of boyfriends though.

I think it depends entirely on the people. Daughters/Sons/Mothers/Fathers... All can be controlled by their relations if they let them, I don't think it rests on any particular sex or relationship.

Hi puddi - I can't say I know anyone who doesn't have a good relationship with their fathers.

My husband has a brilliant relationship with our daughters.
They love him very much & always listen to his good advice, if & when needed. They also have a good laugh together, which always makes me feel good too!
