hi,everybody i'm new to all of this,but can anybody advise me on this.I have been finished at work through health reasons,i am nearly sixty,i suffer from cervical spondulosis in my neck and quite severe arthritus in my back,any sustained physical activity (even walking small distances) puts me in distress,is there any government benefits that might help me?.will be grateful for any help.

thanks ethel and in a pickle,i really appreciate your help
I recently claimed incapacity benefit and it seems that they will pay you so long as you have a sick note from your doctor, saying that you are incapable of work. The disability living allowance is much harder to get.
