yes your doctor or nurse coud tell you. There may be factors we know nothing about. and for medical opinions its always best to ask your medical professionals However, it seems normal to me (ex nurse)
There's a guide here....

http://www.bpassoc.org.uk/BloodPressureandyou/ Thebasics

It can depend what is normal for you. The usually stated norm on 120 over 80 but 90/60 is the level below which is is said to be too low.

People can have more naturally high or low blood pressure, low blood pressure runs in the family and mine is often lower than yours but I do experience faintness when it is really low.

What your normal blood pressure is can also make a difference with the drops, if it's naturally low then a drop may not have such as drastic effect as someone with high blood pressure dropping quickly to low.
Ps. if you're monitoring blood pressure make sure you do it at the same time of day in similar surroundings.

I had mine done at the doctors a few weeks back and it came out at a more normal level. The doctor queried it as my pulse was racing and it was because I'd been hurrying to the doctors.

hmmmmm i have been told buy my gp that i have wierdly low bp but nothing dangerous. what happens with me is when i become active e.g playing sports, power walking etc by bp is said to then become what should be normal (120/80).. what a mystery is the human body
101/60 is the bottom end of 'low normal' blood pressure.
140/90 is the high end of 'high normal'. any figures over or under those would probably need to be monitored and maybe controlled with medication.
Sounds pretty similar to mine, that's what I usually get, low but not dangerously so.

I didn't even know it ran in the family until I mentioned it to my mum who said my dad's dad had the same and turns out my dad does too.

Better than having high blood pressure though but it is a pain with feeling so faint and woozy when it drops even more because of something.

Some people have said upping salt intake is good though I don't know about how healthy that would be and I can't do it in any event as I have meniere's and need to follow a low sodium diet.

Just scraped over the 90/60 one of the last times when I was feeling quite bad with it though I get it done quite often as I have to have 2 weekly blood tests for my rhumatology meds so I can keep an eye on it.

the strange thing is that i was not feeling anything when i decided to check my bp. we have a bp checker at home and felt like fiddling with it ...... im curious to know how low it goes when i am feeling whoozy...... :-S
Hey AutomaticGal being an advanced personal trainer I test BP virtually everyday, 101/60 is considered as low but is technically nothing to be too worried about. "Normal" BP is approx around 120/80 but what is normal for one is not normal for everyone - now what I mean by this is that technically my BP is considered low at almost the same level as yours but very rarely does it cause me any issue and thus is actually pretty normal for me.

There is very little you can do about low blood pressure anyway but it really shouldn't be anythng to worry about unless you are passing out everytime you go from sitting to standing - just be greatful its not sky high as that would be a tatally different conversation
Basically a meaningless reading. Take your BP morning aft and night and then report back to us with the results.
