Fashion for very tiny petite ladies

I am the mum of a 14 year old girl who is tiny and doesn't want to be! (She is 4ft 11 and has a teeny weeny waist despite eating loads). She obviously is keen to fit in with her friends but we can't find any clothes she likes in children's shops - we have tried New Look 915 range and also H&M Kids. The adult shops - even size 6 - are too big for her. Does anyone know of any other shops we could try (we live near Bluewater) or any catalogues that specialise in small sizes? Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

My sympathies! I too am 4ft 11 and very petite, but have learned to enjoy being small over the years. I used to scour the town for nice clothing when I was a teen and would return home in tears as I couldn't find anything that would fit me, so I know how she feels.The Gap website has a section devoted to petite teens, if that's any help. There's also one called Forever 21, but I havn't looked at that one yet.

Thank you so much - yes I feel for her too. I am small but not skinny and am also in my forties so I don't care so much any more! The girls these days seem to be so big, they tower above me - I'm sure they were much smaller in my day! Will have a look at Gap - I didn't know that they had Petite Teens - and will also look at Forever 21. Great help - many thanks x

Jane Norman do some tiny stuff so may be worth trying in there.

How about getting her some nice accessories so she can buy some bigger clothes and just wear them in a different way eg nice belts or scarves.
