My friend gifted me with a new puppy. It's a month old German shepherd. I am now looking for a nice Veterinarian for my lil one. This is my first dog and I do not know any Vet around my place.

well i could recomend my vet to you but as i live in Berkshire, i doubt it will be any good to you if you live, say, in Fife. Dosen't really matter if you don't know any vets, just look in the yellow pages for one and take the puppy along.
a month old puppy should still be with its mum i hope you have not got it yet
Agree with the above post, the puppy should be with it's mum for at least eight weeks.
This is surely a joke, no one in their right mind would let a one month old puppy leave its litter for a new home?

and.......as you havnt said what area you are in, no-one can possibly advise you of a good vet.

Scam......
We keep falling for it don't we Jules.
Don't use yellow pages!!! I suggest finding other people who have pets and asking them! In my experience this is by far the best way. I used to move around a lot and this was the only way to find out which are the best places to use.

Are you in the States? We don't call vets 'veterinarians' over here much (if at all) and 'lil one' is more American than British too.
You can try searching for a good Vet through this website http://www.centerd.com. Hit the explore key and search for what you want with a mention of the city too. Centerd gives you the address, direction map and also the review of the place. Take care of your pooch. I love dogs.
Wind up!
Our American friend has 'gifted us' a wind up , indeed.
