I've gave it a couple of times and it was fine, didn't hurt at all. In fact, I could kind of see why blood letting used to be done as a medical procedure, cos it felt kind of nice afterwards!! But they won't take it now for medical reasons so I just put a pint or so down the sink every once in a while, to get my little hit!!
I popped into the local centre today to check if there was any way I can give blood again yet but still can't for medical reasons.
Had an interesting chat to the nurse who explained why which was useful, I have blood taken two weekly by rhumatology and they said they wouldn't take from someone who has blood taken so regularly and as I'm on immunosuppressants and they said until I have a firm diagnosis as to what is causing my arthritis and such and am on a stable medical regime they won't reconsider.
