Feeling fat

I'm a 13 (14 in november) and i weigh 10stone and i am 5,5, i don't know if i'm fat or not, i wear size 10 clothes (english size 10) but in some shops clothes which don't fit me, make me feel really fat, is it just me wearing bigger normal 10's or shops having different sizes? please help

For your height, size 10-12 is not fat at all i would say that was average. And yes shop sizes do vary !

It's just the shops, don't worry. The type of shop I'm guessing you go in at your age (God I sound old) are probably the high fashion ones notorious for small sizing that make any of us feel like an elephant.

Too true, secretspirit. It amazes me how I can be a "Small" in C&A (I lived abroad) but up to an "Extra Large" in FCUK.

If you chose 1 pair of trousers but tried on 6 different pairs in the same size, each one could fit you differently because of the way they are machine cut in bulk!! So don't worry about what size the garment is...just find one that fits and you enjoy wearing.

Sweety, if you can fit into a size ten or twleve without nasty bulges....Enjoy it! Dont worry too much about your weight or size. When I was 14 I punished myself about being a size 8- 10 and was convinced I was fat. When I look back I cant belive I gave myself such a hard time.

I vary between UK 12 and 16 in high street shops. I've stopped worrying about it. Buy clothes that fit well and flatter your figure...then cut the labels out if they bother you.

snap nicola - I am a size 12 except in M&S where I am a size 16!!!! Errrrmmmm NOPE lol!!
