Hi all

Have just started my new year detox and I was wondering what is the recommended daily water intake in pints.

Every body is different. Some need more water than others. You know you're drinking the right amount when your wee is clear.

You should aim to consume 2 litres of fluid per day - this fluid can be water, tea, coffee, pop, squash, fruit juice,hot chocolate and don't forget you get a lot of fluid from all the food you eat. It is a myth that you need to drink 2 litres of water:

"All drinks we have during a day, apart from alcohol, count towards making up this amount - including tea and coffee - and more than a third of our water needs comes from our food."

I drink water every day, simply because I like it and it quenches my thirst.

btw 2 ltrs = 3.5 pints.....but if your doing sports etc you woudl want to increase that considerabley more
