Can't you tell it's a Sunday night ?- just wondering when people started to go grey? I'm 44 and haven't got any grey yet, though my best friend started going grey in her teens. Must have got good genes!

I started to go grey when my first son was born. I was 23 then .By the time I was 30 I looked like 60 , thank goodness for hair dyes .Now I'm ** I don 't look in the mirror at all, too depressing.
I have naturally fair hair, and have been quite lucky really, I've had greys for a number of years, but they didn't show, now that they do, I highlight my hair about every 2 months and it still looks fine, when it doesn't I'll go for a full colour, but it's ok so far! I'm nearly 60 now, so I'm quite happy!! not planning to join the blue rinse brigade ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are two landmarks, one is when the first ones arrive but then when they start to take over, as some progress very slowly and others quite suddenly. Apart from a few in my early 20s the temples were greyish by 40 and has now worked its way round to the back but very little above. My mother had white temples in her 40s and little more 30 years later as both the rate and pattern vary for every person.
A lot of it's hereditary, and it also depends on natural hair colour. A friend of mine had grey strands at 19 - so she just dyed her hair.
The first grey hairs appeared when I was 23. I didn't, and still don't give a toss! I'm 62 now.
I'm 66 with no grey hair, people keep asking me what dye I use because it looks so natural! My hubby went grey at 23.

My mum is like that gelda - people are always asking her what she uses on her hair as it looks so natural! - she is 73 !
At 40...didnt realise until mother in law plucked a practically white hair out of my ginger locks...I am now highlighted blonde! x
60+ and a tiny streak of grey has appeared at the front in the last year or so.
It fits in well with the blonde highlights though :o)
im 37 i have some at the front but have my hair high lighted to cover it .my sister is 14 years older she only has a few .ive had a bad hard life .lol
I started going grey in my late 20's and have been addicted to hairdye ever since.

I'm dreading the day when I...ahem....end up with matching grey 'collar & cuffs' lol
I'm younger than you and ma totally grey!
thank the Lord for hair dye I say lol
I've been going grey since my late teens - my mum went grey early too
LOL at Mrs O :o)

My grandmother had dark brown hair until her late 70's. My mum went grey in her seventies too. So it must be genetic.

Mr LL went grey years ago - 'cos he's married to me!

Lol Mrs O!
Pity I didn't put all the money I must be saving on hair dye in a pot - I'd be rich by now!
Makes me laugh when I'm walking down the road and a car comes up behind me and young blokes wolf whistle , bellow suggestions etc (I look good from behind! - 5ft 11 & size 12 lol) - they are in for a bit of a shock when they get past!
