I am looking for headphones that won't cause too much pain should I fall asleep with them in. Anybody got any tried and tested suggestions. Thanks.

That's just an example - similar products are available elsewhere
I use ordinary earphones but just put the left one into my ear. The programmes I tend to listen to in bed are mainly on medium wave so stereo not required anyway.

About the pillow, is it likely to block out the snoring from the other half?

And the earphones, are they ones you put in your ears or over them and do they hurt if you fall asleep with them in?
I got Mr Spudqueen one of these pillow for Christmas

he's used it quite a lot.
The set I use, Alf, go into the ear and I don't even notice I am wearing the earpiece.
I agree with spudqueen, I got my niece a pillow for christmas and she loves it! Plus, if you share your bed, the person next to you can't hear your music so it doesn't keep them awake! :-)
That pillow is my first link.
I have a small Tevion radio bought from Aldi`s which I put under my pillows (I have to have 3) and I put it on timer for 20mins and I never hear it switch off.
