How long does hair take to grow back in after radiotherapy and is it as thick as before?

I would imagine it returns in 3 to 6 months & if like chemo - yes it is thicker (& a lot warmer!) when it grows back. Ask at the hospital, these days they usually have someone to deal especially with hair loss.

My treatment was for a brain tumour grade 3. Grade 3 being just below grade four which is like "sorry you have two months to live"! The radiation I received was pretty intensive and I still feel very, very tired at various times during the day. All advice on this matter is greatly appreciated as I can't really talk to the Doctors and have no blood relatives where I am living although my husband's family have been very supportive. Thanks to everyone for their support in this matter.
