do we ever know what our purpose is? maybe my purpose has not happened yet?
You could argue that Jade Goody served her purpose. She's saved some life's already.

Having just lost my mum feel my purpose was to look after her, which I did,. What's left?

Myself and my late husband brought children into the world gloried in their growing then marvelled at the birth of their children, so the circle of life goes on ,what can be more precious than that (apologies to those who can`t,not meant as a slur, we were lucky to be able to)

Mamya x

an extra hug for shaking xxx
wish I knew....my kids seem to like me around (at the moment!)
My purpose in life is to enjoy every minute of it and those around me and be happy even when things are looking bleak, you only get one go at it so I make the most of it
Hugs to you shaking. Now it's time to spread all the good advice and love which your mum taught to you.
My own purpose is similar to mamya's. My children are a source of enormous pleasure to me and my husband. They'll hopefully carry on the family name, and I love every minute of watching them grow up and turning into decent human beings.
Well said elvis
sorry to hear of your loss shaking. perhaps your focus is to look after yourself now in as good a way as you did your mom. Have you thought of a new career or looking at being a carer!!! your purpose may now be to enjoy life knowing your mom is now at peace. take care xx
As Harry Chapin Carpenter wrote.. "All my life's a circle." We're born,we learn as we go along the years, marry, live together, have baby's,watch then grow and teach them as our parents taught us. We should embrace each day in case there's no tomorrow and let our kids go to carry on the circle. Im happy with my lot though I still miss mum and dad after 24+ years but all I can say is..that's life. Live for the day shaking xx

I think my purpose in life is to help people, and I am (hopefully) doing that with my current career.

Personally, I'd love to one day have kids, but I'm young(ish) and probably can't have any, so for now, I'll just be happy with what I have.
To make a difference.
"My purpose?".....to play the cards that I was dealt at birth and not whinge about the cards that I feel I should have been dealt.

Some brilliant answers thank you. Most of you have children so there is a definite purpose for those lucky people.
shaking......."lucky people" with children. Don't kid yourself.
The older I get the more convinced I am that we're in this world to help each other when we can.

Hi Suad617 Bet all those with children wouldn't be without them though.
No kids, but I have taught hundreds to sing and appreciate harmonies! So I guess that is my purpose.
