has informed me that she has to have an angiogram tomorrow...does anyone know what this is for....thank you in advance.....

stoke....it is to show the arteries of the body:

Carotid angiogram.........the neck and brain.
Vertebral angiogram........neck arteries.
Aortic angiogram.........chest and thorax.
Renal angiogram.........kidney
Femoral angiogram.......leg.

Done to highlight a blockage in the artery or an aneurysm(weakness)

Depends which one she is having.....probably a coronary angiogram to show up the arteries to the heart. Any intrusive proceedure is not 100% without complications, but now it is a routine proceedure done in the X-Ray dept as an out patient.
She will be fine stoke.

my wife had one on Tuesday last, to look at her arteries and into the heart. Back home same day, a bit sore for a day or two but just fine. You are usually told the results on the day before you leave hospital.
