It is actually the stomach lining - nice huh?!
My mate once projectile vomitted onto the ceiling in my local, it was like something from the Exorcist - anyone else witnessed such gravity defying sick acts?

I necked a pint (yes I am classy) and threw it straight back up into the plastic (yes it was a classy establishment) pint cup that was still in my hand.

A friend of mine was sick after a bottle of Thunderbirds ( them were the days ) from a sports pavilion overlooking a running track. He hit the fourth lane out! A truly momentous occasion.

Thunderbirds was one dangerous drink - didn't it come in two colours - red and blue? (or was i just really smashed)

i think that being sick is quite a violent stomach reaction - causing the vomit to fly out of the mouth like a projectile - To hit the ceiling takes a whiplash like spasmodic jerk. I seem to remember my  mate springing out of the pub chair (which added to the momentum) and the force of his vomit throwing his head back enough for his insides to go airbourne.
