Why do my wife's socks twist round while she is wearing them, so the heel ends up on the top part of her foot?

I want to know how practically a whole sock can end up at the of the shoe.

She must have over 20 pairs, they can't ALL be too big, but they ALL twist !!
maybe she puts em on wrong first , i do sometimes LOL

if i wear socks in bed they swivel round but not in my shoes ?

....and what if you dont have the correct number of toes to fit the 10 toed socks....does one (or two) just flap about (sorri shouldnt laff but ...lol)
Look pasta, not everyoine has toes that are 3ins long you know.....
