I have different coloured eyes (which i'm told is supposed to be quite lucky) it's not often that i think about it, only when someone says to me "oh, do you know you've got different coloured eyes?" (like no, i was'nt aware!) is it that uncommon? are there any other people out there with different coloured eyes? do you get the same comments?

I met a woman last weekend who had one hazel eye and her other eye was half green and half brown, split vertically in the middle. I could have fallen in love if I was not married. They were the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.

One of my eyes is hazel and the other green and brown but split about three quarters!

My lovely grandad had one brown eye and one blue.

When I was little, I asked him why they were different colours and he said he was born with two blue eyes, but because he used to smoke his ciggie in the side of his mouth, the smoke turned one of his eyes brown!

I believed him for years.

I believe that Bowie used to have the same coloured eyes until he got punched in one which damaged it in some way, so that the light reflects of it and causes it to look a different colour.  Don't have any medical knowledge, so I can't put it any better!

David Bowie has 2 blue eyes. But one is permanently dilated due to a fight he had at school. So he has one small pupil and one big pupil. The big pupil makes his eye look brown, but it is actually still blue!

There is also a syndrome that causes 2 different coloured eyes but is quite rare- The main characteristics of Waardenburg syndrome (WS) include: a wide bridge of the nose; pigmentary disturbances such as two different colored eyes, white forelock and eyelashes and premature graying of the hair; and some degree of cochlear deafness. The disease was named for Petrus Johannes Waardenburg, a Dutch ophthalmologist (1886-1979) who was the first to notice that people with two different colored eyes frequently had hearing problems

It's my right that's three quarters brown and a quarter green!

My dear old Dad was born with distinct odd eyes - one was brown & the other blue. His name was William, but he will always be warmly remembered as 'Billy Odd Eyes'.

HAHA! It's so funny that people ask if you knew they were different. They must think you've never looked in a mirror or something! You should really pretend you didn't know next time somebody asks! And my biology teacher had one brown eye and one green eye. I thought they were gorgeous, kinda sophisticated.

I think its great, just think youve got the best of both worlds!! Its already been said about David Bowies eye but i think he looks gorgeous!

When someone first meets a possible partner i think their eyes are quite high on the i like a wo/man with.... and i think having different eye colour will just add a bit of difference and mystery!!!

Hi all, I have green eyes but I have freckles in them too, one eye has more than the other. I think anything like that which makes you a little different is a real blessing, it's things like this that make us who we are. I also have thumbs which look more like big toes, much to the delight of my older siblings! We are who we are, and different shouldn't mean negative x
