Tummy Problems

I had a gastro follow up today and, thank goodness, the tests done so far are ok (barium swallow, colonoscopy and camera down) and the biopsies and polyp they took were ok :)

Was hoping that excludes inflammatory bowel which they seem to be looking for as a link with my inflammatory arthritis.

The doctor said he wants to examine the small bowel more carefully and do one of those tests where you swallow a camera pill and something to do with biles salts and malabsorbsion.

Can anyone shed any light on the tests and what they might be for?
