Dark red spot on arm.
7 Answers
I've got a dark red spot on my left forearm which has developed over the last couple of weeks. At first I thought it might be a zit of some sort, even though I'm 32 but it never popped and doesn't look like one anymore. Do you think it's anything to be wary of?

Whatever, it's clearly bothering you. Show it your chemist. If he/she thinks a doctor needs to examine it, they'll say so.
Not wishing to be all doom and gloom, but if it is cancerous then the sooner you get it seen to, the better the outlook.

Go to your Doctor and see what he says. He may refer you to a Skin Specialist. If it looks anything like what squad617 says you need qualified advice.
I have been cured of Melanoma (Skin Cancer) due to over exposure to the Sun when I was in the Merchant Navy.
There is no need to worry especially if you visit your Doctor now so that he can advise.

It is red yes, defo not brown. It's quite small, 5mm or so and there's no itching, bleeding or pain. I'm not really a worrier but a few weeks ago I was out in the sun and the heat on my arms was immense, however I didn't put sun screen on for about half an hour. I will prob phone the doc tomorrow or as was said check it out in a chemist first. Thanks all and with any luck it might be an insect bite, that is possible.
