Black Women

I am not attracted to black women. At all. I can objectively see that some are attractive, but I am not attracted.

 

Somebody in the office suggested this was racism: I disagree.

 

I've never got the whole blonde thing either, having always preferred auburn/red/black, but I don't think that makes me 'blondist'!

 

Would be interested in your thoughts.

It's nothing to do with racism. It's just how you are.  I'm not attracted at all to thin men.  Lots of people are!  We're all different.

If you look on the animals & nature thread, you will read that some people prefer different breeds of dogs & cats. There is nothing racist in that & neither should there be!

If you do/don't prefer blacks/whites - blondes/brunettes, then so be it. It's all down to personel taste & you should not be afraid to express your likes/dislikes, as long as your sentiments are not offensive to anyone.

Of course it's not racist.  You are attracted to the people to whom you are attracted, and it's as simple as that.  Just because I'm gay doesn't mean that I'm sexist against women.  I have never fancied any black men, and if anybody dared to suggest that it meant that I was racist, then I would get extremely angry with that person for making such a suggestion.  I hope that you were very angry with your colleague who suggested such a thing.

Flanker - you're not racist, I say so because I'm very respectful of all people, but  have never in my life been attracted to black men though there were lots in USA where I went to College. I'm not black or white, I'm brown by the way.

I think we all have our 'types' and we will visually be attracted to someone that fits such a type. However, never say never because for all you know, you could become attracted to a black woman because you got to know her first. I remember once saying years ago at school, that I found a pop singer ugly (can't remember who now) and he happened to be black. My black friend told me I was being racist! She might as well have told me that I have to find all black people attractive which is ridiculous.

Why is it  then, that some black men only prefer to go out with white woman, but are never classed as racist againt black women?

I am a white girl and have never been attracted to black or asian men (or women, for that matter!). I don't see it as racist at all. I don't find ginger attractive, nor pale skin, nor glasses, nor very curly hair. It's just what you are attracted to, you can't help it and it's not racist. I wouldn't be offended if a black man said he didn't find white women attractive

I always thought I was only ever attracted to white men, I have loads of black and asian friends but have never been attracted to them. But then one day I was introduced to an asian who is absolutely gorgeous!! He has gorgeous skin and the most gorgeous green/blue eyes, he is soooo good looking! So again I think it is just personal taste and you can't say you will never be attracted to a black person because they are all so much different! Like if a guy says he is only attracted to blondes, there are bound to be loads of blondes who he doesn't find attractive in the slightest.

I have dated black, white and asian women.  I have dated a girl from St Lucia and a Fillipino girl.  I am really attracted to indian women, I think it is something about the dark skin and dark eyes.  I am also really attracted to brunettes rather than blondes, and women that think they are gods gift are a real turn off whatever the colour or creed.  Its just a matter of personal taste, nuffink racist about that
