In one word, 'Yes'.
Sorry, fiferboy, should have asked if you're OK today.  Don't worry about the spots they will go when things start to get better.  The lack of sleep you have experienced will make you tired and this will affect your skin too.  Your skin will reflect your general health.
fiferboy - When you are run down, you are more susceptible to spots, mouth ulcers & the like. If you are stressed out, maybe you should pop along to your GP for a check up. Hope you feel better very soon.
Crossed lines again FP!

How are you doing, anyway? Have you spoken to your mum yet?

x

I'd say yes too, stress does show in your skin.

Also, the first time I'd ever had a cold sore was 3 years ago during an awful time.

(Make sure you drink plenty of water, apparently stress causes toxins to build up) All the best.

Keep your chin up chuck, things wil get better X
I am well into my 30's and still get 'em.  Stress, lack of sleep and general 'run down' feelings can cause bad skin.  As FP says, your skin reflects your general health.
It is part and parcel I think. Keep your head high Fifer, things will work out for you there!
Stress will affect your immune system, lowering immunity to colds  and other viruses - so, yes, it can cause the knock-on-effect of causing spots.  You're probably really run down with everything thats happened to you.  Chin up, everything will work out o.k in the end, you've done nothing wrong  xx  :)
