I'd like a female point of view here...

How do you feel about your other half watching pornography?

Not excessively but now and again whilst you're not in the house.

My girlfriend doesn't like it (me watching it alone or with her) what so ever and says that by me looking at it, it makes her feel inadequate.

I can see her point but it's not like that at all, we have a healthy sex life and i think she's gorgeous but porn is just porn for me, a bit of fun. I w-ank like the next man does so why can't i do it infront of a bit of porn if the girlfriend isn't around?

I think porn's okay.......as long as it's good quality. It is a good time saver as well......

It's a girl thing - no matter how much you tell us it is no reflection on our sexiness or desirability, the feeling of inadequacy or 'not being enough' is often still there.

Personally it doesn't bother me one way or the other, I actually don't mind it myself in certain circumstances. However some women just don't like it and don't understand it's no reflection on them. I recommend not getting caught in the latter instance.

Blokes don't get emotionally attached to things so much and take enjoyment with "visual" things - hence we like our gadgets as well as porn!

I've just bought a laptop with broadband internet (i've not had either for a year now) so that i can use it for multilude of things...yes..including a little porn. But i've been accused of my GF for buying it solely for that purpose which has really peed me off!

Mrs Overall - i sometimes do but sometimes us blokes just like a little bit of visual aid is all!

Knowing your guy is watching porn makes us girls feel like we are not enough and you wish we looked like the girls in the porn films.

I understand that guys have this "need" to watch porn and look at dirty mags. I guess you guys always seem to think about sex 24/7 so need to fulfil your needs, but that still does'nt help us girls feeling like crap when you do.

1984...I know that I am not a girl i.e not eligible to partake in this thread BUT I had breakfast this morning ina cafe witha guy who ran Karaoki and he tells me that in the clubs and bars in Tokyo, the words of the song come up on the screen with a background of pornographic activity on the screen....LOL

For the men...porn is a phase that we all go through...no big deal.

Personally i'd tell her to get a grip (possibly literally!). You watch porn when alone, and as long as it's not anything iffy I don't see a problem.

Are you both young? New relationship? After a few years she'll be praying you go off and watch porn so she can do something more interesting instead of bothering her- like shopping :-)

I'm 25 and she's 23 and we've been going out for a year + 10 months.

All in all our relationship is great and we're just like any other normal couple...it's just this porn thing.

Her - Why do you need to watch porn?

ME - I don't NEED to, i just like to.

Her - Aren't i good enough, it makes me feel that i'm not when you look at porn.

ME - Of course you're good enough, i love you more then anything but there's nothing wrong with me looking at a bit of porn now and again when you're not with me.
