My daughter contracted scabies in the summer. We have been to the doctor loads of times but despite doing all the right things it keeps coming back. Does anyone have an effective action plan once the lotion is on.

Not that I know of course!  But, you need to apply the lotion and ensure that all clothes, bedding etc are washed afterwards.  Scabies can live on ion towels - bedding etc.  If possible get her to take a few days of applying the lotion, and sleeping in clean bedding each night.  The lotion should be applied from head to toe for best results.  Don't be shy with it either! Smother her in it otherwise it won't work!

I do know, and I don't know why Nortypony would open her reply like that as this is nothing to be ashamed of.

Not only does the bedding need washing, also try giving the mattress a good clean and vigourous going over with a vacuum cleaner.

Thanks for your help. I think we have done all the above. I just wondered if it had to be a certain temperature, if there was a particular order to do it all in. Any other ideas I would be grateful. Thanks
