Eyes

Ive just been told by my doctor that ive got dermatitus plus an infection on the skin underneath my eyes.  It really looks awful as the skin is really red and swollen.  Thing is i have to go to work soon and although i have put the cream on it cant work that fast! and im not allowed to put make up on it!! Can anybody think of ways that i can hide it (asides from a paper bag over the head!). Ive tried sunglasses and they dont cover the right bits!! has anybody else ever had this? How long does it take to go away?

when you go out purchase some witch hazel from chemist and store in fridge..pour some on a wad of cotton wool at bedtime and put pad over eye for about 20 minutes before you apply whatever the doctor has given you ,,and it will heal it a bit faster...its perfectly safe so dont think i am giving you anything unsafe...mullein

No offence to Mullien but i think that would sting quite abit with witch hazel although it is good for a majority of uses.

If your GP has given you osmetihng specific for your dermatitis then just use that anything else may irritate it, i have suffered from it on my hands and know it is really horrid, the best thing you can do is keep it dry and use the cream your GP has given you and keep applying it regularly as your eye area is one of the most delicate areas of skin i would avoid anything else as this may only make it worse. Plus if your GP has given you something you really shouldn't be asking us guys for more stuff to put on it after all we aren't doctors on here.

I would maybe try a cold compress wrapped in something so you don't get the area wet but other than that i wouldn't want to say unless you reacted hun. Sorry

hi ive got this under my eye and had it for about 4 weeks now every1 keeps asking did i get punched in the eye went to the pharmacy in boots and they said keep putting e45 on it every hour hasnt worked though what cream did you get 4 this

hi keirah i got an antibiotic anti inflammitory cream.  this cleared the infection up in 2 days! e45 cream made it worse so stop using that! thanks guys
