Hey i have nothing against 'social' drug users, but i hate the ones who take serious stuff and steal for it but anyway, in answer to your question- no i havent seen any fat ones but neither have i seen any clever ones, they are either on the dole or in dead end unskilled jobs.

Seen plenty of fat ones. Also, there were 2 people I knew that naturally were fat but after spending all summer walking around looking for the stuff actually lost a lot of weight.

Still, this isn't a good argument in favor of smoking pot.

If they are as thin as a rake when having the joint of the weed then they will be probably using more than one drug.   MUNCHIES>>>>>>>  you know... If you smoke the weed then you will probably have munched your way through half the kitchen..  Unless they have an excellent matabolism which burns faster than they can store it.  and yes you are reading this from a slightly overweight occasional cannabis smoker..

Hitting the trees raises your metabolic rate, hence you get the munchies. But as you're burning the energy off, it generally cancels out the extra intake. And no, I don't know any fat dope smokers, but I'd put that down to students who don't smoke, drink, students who do smoke can't afford to drink ;o).

If they are as thin as a rake when having the joint of the weed then they will be probably using more than one drug. Actually I have known a number of people who have been rake thin from JUST smoking weed. They get the munchies but these munchies are never a substantial amount. Maybe a bag of sweets shared amongst them. They generally didn;t eat too much else as they didn't feel the need. A lot of people who take ecstasy at weekends loose a lot of weight. Firstly beacuse they'll be dancing all night and thus burning a lot of energy. Also you are not hungry immediately after and up to a couple of days after. One day when they finally get some proven facts as to whether it is or isn;t damaging long term, then they will decide if its a good way or not. Theres an equal amount of studies that consider it to be good and bad, though the bad ones generally get much much greater press coverage. Usually anything suggesting it isn't given a public airing and thus it is hard for people to make a reasoned and factual judgement on it.
