1. Feel that you should respond to every comment they make when most often their comments aren't worth responding to, or there is genuinely nothing to say in response to it.

2. Forces you to laugh at things you do not find particularly funny.

3. Gets annoyed when there is silence between you two because they expect you to fill it...

that is the well know freudian personallity:

innadiquatus Tw&ttus Maximus
I know someone exactly like that and on top of that isn't interested at all what others are doing but talks for hours about his own life. Unfortunately, he's a member of the family so can't avoid him!!

wizrd66 - hm, come to think of it...

By the way all, this person is not me or a boyfriend, it is what a friend of mine does, which has started to annoy me.

Thanks all for the replies.

Wizard66 - Yeah, I could tell them how I feel although they'd probably reckon that I'm overreacting to what they may feel are "little things". It does annoy, and I've put up with it for a while. These traits are in those who i've been friends with since school, mostly. Coz then, yeah, I would respond to all three traits thinking there is somehting wrong with me. Since, i've realised that is not me, it's merely a personna. The other people who don't have these traits are the people I feel more comfortable around becuase they are I guess, mature...
Hm...

It seems as if you have matured since school and they haven't and probably never will
Question Author
Wizard66 - No problem. The people you knew, had you known them for a long time? With these particular friends there are certain good things in them, bad as is the case the good outweighs the bad. Plus I feel I can't really get rid of people i've known nearly all my life...
Just speak up and say what's on your mind. If it's a true friend, they'll appreciate your bluntness....eventually.
