If it is an absolute emergency you wouldbe taken through and the questions answered afterwards.  but even filling out all the details required before hand does not take long, only name, address, DOB, Doctos name, wht injury is, how it happend (i.e. work, home etc) so really about 5 mins max.  I dont think you'll be asked for your NI number!!! unless you wanted a job there!
Blood spurting out of your head would help.  Patients are seen in order of the seriousness of the injury or condition, they don't generally stop to check your P45's

A serious, bloody, open fracture or chest pains would probably get you seen quicker, at least by a triage nurse.

Paperwork still needs to be taken care of but it`s not high up the priority list.

If you are so ill or injured that you are unable to speak for yourself, it's a good idea to have someone with you who is familiar with your medical history.  Better yet, type it up on a card and carry it in your wallet or purse.  Doctors will want to know whether you are allergic to any medications, what type of surgeries you've had in the past (for example, if you've had a lumpectomy or mastectomy, they can't use the blood pressure cuff on the arm on the same side as the surgery was, etc), do you wear dentures or contact lenses, things like that.
