I was sitting on the sofa when I had a sharp pain in my thigh (felt like someone had pinched me from the inside). Since then, the pain has been localised to this area and the skin is sensitive to the touch. Anyone had experience of this? I worried that it's blood clot or something else nasty..

I recently experienced the same thing. I went to my doctor just hoping I could get some relief from the pain. She told me it was sciatica. Basically the nerve gets knocked out of whack sometimes from doing the simplest of things. There really is no treatment for it other than taking pain meds until it heals which could take several weeks. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the answers guys. The pain has now gone but I asked a doctor where I work and he said that it was likely to be postural. Phew..
