When you get up have a cup of hot water and lemon - it should help - ahem - move things along, then you should be able to have breakfast and get along with your normal routine without any pesky cramps.
3. Don't try and eat breakfast, whilst getting dressed, having a shave, putting your shoes on , drinking a cup of tea, texting and hunting for the car keys all at once.
Indigestion is so nasty, and that probably is the cause of your cramps, especially if you rush it in the morning due to timescales, as Androcles says .............and if you're fine after lunch, supper/dinner and snacks in the evening......suggest a light brekky not a full english every morning. Plenty of ruffage.......bran etc..........then a newspaper to read :0)
What do you mean Tamborine? That's getting up, not multi tasking! I thought multi tasking was all of those things plus getting the kids up , doing the washing and ironing, preparing lunchboxes, tidying up, feeding the pets and hoovering the whole house.

I can't stomach anything wholewheat like or ruffage first thing in the morning like wholemeal bread or bran flakes.
In fact I'm not good at eating first thing in the morning. If I have breakfast I wait until I get to work and get to work early so I can sit and eat it without rushing around.
i wonder if its because im eating on a dry stomach if that makes any sense. i should have a few sips of my tea before eating. i'l giv it a try tomz and see if it makes any diff!
I used to get this all the time due to my IBS, so for a long time I stopped eating breakfast. Now I've started again but I wait until about 9.30-10am rather than eating at 7am and don't have such a bad problem. I eat my breakie in work now!
You may have an allergy to gluten. This is surprisingly common, builds up over time and often goes undetected for many years. Perhaps it has begun to manifest itself at breakfast.
Cut out all wheat products and see if that makes a difference.
