Some gay couples . . .
49 Answers
Ok I know poor Stephen Gately has only just died BUT why did they have another guy back to their hotel with them? I read that he was in the bedroom with Gately's husband. Now why is it that some gay couples (think George Michael) seem to think it's ok to sleep with other people? Always baffled me.

It's a fact that gay men often lead a promiscuous lifestyle, but as with all people, there is every shade of personality and behaviour in evidence, so stereotyping should be avoided.

Because as a rule, heterosexual couples have children, they lose the 'single' lifestyle they enjoyed growing up, and when first together, but gay people never lose that lifestyle, so the opportunities for sexual freedom are far more eveident for far longer.
To answer your question - the media love the frisson of something seedy going on, heightened by their prurient attitude to homosexuality, so the fact that a friend may have come back for coffee can soon by whipped into a dog-andpony show by the papers, because a large section of soceity loves to believe it must be true.
The only people who know what has occured are the peoploe who were there, and the doctors who have completed th post mortem -everything else is speculation - and we all know where that leads ...

Please note that I did say SOME gay couples, not all or lots. It just seems more acceptable in gay relationships/marriages. Right, ok I must admit I have not read that this guy was a 'friend'. I read that they met him in a gay club and I also read (on the Daily Mail Online) that he (the foreign 'friend') came out of the bedroom (apparently had been in there with Gately's husband) . . so if this is true, I think he was having more than coffee.
Ok you may think it's 'their' business but it has been all OVER the papers!
Let's put it this way, I'm married and I'd never share my husband or cheat on him. He's the only person I ever want.

Whay re you baffled?
You are in a monogamous relationship - so it would appear was Stephen Gately.
That lifestyle suits some people, not others, gay or straight.
If the Daily Mail told me the day of the week had a 'y' in it, I'd check a calender.
Like I said - the people there know the facts, and I don't imagine the third oarty was a Mail journalist, so they are guessing - it's not news, it's gossip - to be ignored.
They didn't 'have' to have a friend with them - and why the assumption that because they are a gay couple and the guy was in the bedroom that they must be engaged in some sexual activity? That's not even gosssip, it's imagination.

'They' haven't put it into all the newspapers, MissCommando, the newspaper editors have put it all over the newspapers..........together with nudges, hints and enough knowing winks to inflate the story and keep people salivating over the smallest real or imagined detail.
The Bulgarian involved is apparently a friend they have both had for some while..........not a casual pick-up, in any case.

Well if that's the case, then I suggest Stephen Gately's family and 'husband' sue the newspapers then. Personally, I find it a strange set up, but that's my opinion. It depends what you believe, like I said I've not read that that guy was their friend. Indeed, each to their own - I won't even bother talking about George Michael - no scandal there, he's guilty as charged lol
Quote from Daily Mail online :
\"Mystery surrounds his final hours after it emerged his civil partner slept in the bedroom with Bulgarian Georgi Dochev – who the couple had met earlier in a gay nightclub in Palma, the island’s capital.
Mr Cowles also revealed to police that the singer had been using cannabis on the night of his death, although Spanish authorities says drink or drugs played no part in his death.\"

Point 1: Could the bedroom possibly have had twin beds? many hotels and Villas abroad do.
Point 2: They met Mr Dochev in a bar earlier...that doesn't mean they didn't already know him.
Point 3: Cannabis use does not cause fluid on the lungs.
