I was also a single mother with no money, no friends and no support network and I suffered from severe clinical depression for 3 years. I finally caved in after taking an overdose and realised i had to stop this. The tablets made me feel a bit wierd, but the doctor was happy to try different kinds till I found one I was more comfortable with, and slowly but surely I got my life back together. None of which I would have been able to achieve if I hadn't gone on the tablets. They aren't the most pleasant things in the world but neither is depression. They are a means to an end and they enabled me to be there for my child. Good luck to you x
