getting pain in my lower back and right leg
10 Answers
Im getting a pain on my lower back and right hip, also behind my right knee. Behind my knee it feels like my mustle is being pulled. I have a lot of bad habits, such as sitting oddly while on computer, but the pains started when i started my job standing sometimes for 6 hours straight. After I quit the job, the pain still exists.
I know I should really go see the doctor, but I hate the way your treated when going to the doctor, its so inpersonal.
Will exorcising more help perhaps?
Apologies for spelling mistakes :)

You lie flat on your back and, keeping your leg straight and your ankle bent (ie toes pointing to the ceiling), raise the leg slightly on the affected side. If it's sciatica, it'll be agony. I was told it's partly caused by postural faults and can be relieved by correct posture. What causes the pain is a trapped sciatic nerve, so that fits in with what flobadob says.
And yes, impersonal or otherwise, doctor knows best.
