what type of clothes do I wear ?!
30 Answers
I am going to a concert by myself to see "In the flesh" a Pink Floyd type group with lazer show in a couple of weeks at the Indigo2 , within the O2 venue, I live out in the sticks and I have never been to anything like this before, let alone a city venue, so I wonder if anyone can give me an idea what I should wear, last time I went out to a "do" I was in my early 20's, now I'm 48 but very young looking and still haven't got a clue, I don't want to overdress and look like I'm on the pull, or look dowdy either, I'm female 5 ft 3 and aprox 10 stone, any ideas please ? I'd be really gratefull.

Inside the Indigo, it is quite warm.
If you phone in advance, they will tell you which car park section is allocated for the gig that you are going to see. You just follow the signs. It's easy.

Your mix is
1 item of denim (because you only EVER wear one!)
1 item of black or white
Don't wear colours. You'll look as if you wandered in from the pizza place next door by mistake.
Black and white are COOL gig colours.
Black is best ... if it suits you.
If not ... white.
Either way ... jeans are safest (but smart jeans ... you want to look as if you spent the afternoon trying on designer jeans ... not as if you spent the afternoon driving a tractor)

Cheers snags, I love the idea, if I fell over I'd sound like a firecracker going off, LOL . seriously tho, Duchess Jogger Jayne of Seagull, I like the pic, will do the jeans, boots and black top I think, I'm not driving there, doing it by bus/coach/tube, so will need a jacket, but ill keep it light tho as ill be on transport most of the time, and certainly dont want clutter, glad you pointed out its warm inside as I get the hot flushes, I'm so excited, can't wait now, I've got a seat in section C downstairs, but I like the sound of the bar :) didnt know you could watch it from there as I read somewhere that someone got told to sit down even though they were in the back row for H & S reasons, but I think that may have been in the high bit upstairs. cheers for your answers, Ive got a good excuse for shopping for a new top now.
Not black and blue, China ?
Don't you think so ?
I think they mix rather well.

BM ... apparently the Ed has set up the site so that if you type my name in full, it replaces it with ... what you got! There are a few of us like that. If you type chuck fickens without the gap, you get " Chuck 'IT God & Lord of the Cyber Wave' Fickens "

Yeah, my name does something funny too.
I am quite serious but I'm also fairly sure it's a me thing rather than the rest of the world necessarily agreeing. I just don't like blue and black together. I think they cancel each other out. I also don't like black and brown for the same reasons. I can be a bit odd sometimes :c)

Yeah CD,(playing safe there with the initials) I think black & brown are a no go too, and blue & green, should never be seen as they say. I am useless at coordinating, i tend to buy a top or handbag because I like them indiviually, not because they might go with what I have at home in the wardrobe, hence a tightly stuffed wardrobe of clothes that I hardly wear as nothing goes together ! Actually I did see a nice top in new Look this week, it was a white and silver printed top, baggyish vest type, they had teamed it up with a denim material shirt jacket which was a cross between beige and light green, or is that too much like the pizza outfit JJ ?
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm advising on fashion! I'd just keep it simple... that white and silver vest top sounds nice but I'm not sure about the denimy thingy... I'm sure it'll be fine whatever you chose. It's what you're happy in that counts, not what others think... especially others who have issus with blue and black shoes :c)
