I've been debating colouring my hair at home. It's coloured darkish brown with red highlights but I am happy to be one colour all over. Can anyone recommend a colour to me.I've looked at Garnier Nutrisse and L'Oreal Perfect 10.Can anyone recommend either of these and if so,which shade do you use? Many thanks.

All I'll say is they tend to be a lot darker than on the box, so don't go for too dark unless you want it to look almost black. If you're aiming for dark brown you're probably better trying a light to mid brown shade. (I've been dyeing my hair myself for 21 years and have been every colour of the rainbow:) )
Thanks very much to you all. I'm glad you mentioned that they are darker than they look on the box.Didn't know that. Perfect 10 gets very good reviews on some sites and I like the idea of only 10 minutes waiting! Will try to pluck up courage next week. Thanks again.Daffy,is the colour you use pretty dark?
No it isn't that dark barb,it looks dark after application but fades over the first couple of washes to alovely glossy mid brown with reddish tones. If you go to the Perfect 10 website they have colour charts.
