I had my fixed braces taken off on Monday after 2 years, and at the age of 22 I'm sure you'll know just how pleased I am! I've got to go back next Monday to pick up my retainers, so my teeth are completely free at the moment. I've noticed that one of my teeth right at the front on the top jaw has started to move back into it's old crooked position. Probably not that much, I'm sure I'm blowing it out of proportion. But after all I've been through with surgery and braces for so long, I just want them to be perfect! Will the retainers sort out any movements that have taken place over this first week?

my daughter just had her fixed braces off. they were removed early in the morning and she had to pick her her retainers that afternoon. she had to wear them virtually 24 hours a day, but now just at night.

I'm surprised you've had to wait that long as your teeth will move back. phone the orthodontist and see if you can pick up your retainers earlier.
After my braces were taken off I had permanent retainers fixed 5 days later. Could this be an option for you?
