Since having bile acid malabsorbtion diagnosed and being put on Questran have been feeling so much better, am really quite amazed at how much of a difference it makes.
It has made a massive difference to my tummy problems and feel like i'm actually getting some proper vitamins and such as my skin, hair and nails etc... all feel better and much more energy but one thing that has taken me by surprise is the effect it has had on my joints.
Rhumatology diagnosed me with general inflammatory athritis with secondary fibromyalgia and my knees and shoulders have been particularly evil lately but seem to have eased up significantly since I started on the Questran.
What I don't get is how it helps them as well, definitely not complaining (loving it!), just curious!
cannot help jenna but I am really glad to read that you are finally getting some answers after all this time, I can understand a lot of your problems as I have had continual tummy problems myself and have only recently seen some relief at the cost of giving up a lot of my favourite foods. I would rather eat the blander diet than cope with the cramps and severe acid reflux, good to see you are feeling much better xx
Thanks Cazz :) I was a bit unsure at first as have it's a powder sachet I have to mix with non fizzy fluid and drink before every meal I eat to help me absorb it properly.
It's made such a difference though I don't care and have found it it pretty much untasteable in orange juice so upping the vitamin c count significantly too haha so can't be bad :)
I don't feel so empty all the time either which is lovely, I think my body was just craving and craving but never getting so it's a nice change :) xxx
