I had an operation to reconstruct a joint on my foot on 6th. October last year, I was in Plaster for 12 weeks. When plaster was removed I was told op was success and told no follow-up was needed. However I am still experiencing severe pain in my foot and have been told(not Proffesionally) that Bones take a long time to heal and it could take nearly a year to be fully healed. Anybody had any similar experiences? Thank you for any replies.

I broke a bone in my foot, six weeks in plaster and thought when the plaster came off it would be fine. When I went to have the plaster off I was told that it could take up to twelve months before it was back to normal and that was for a minor straight forward break. Fortunately it only took 3 to 4 months before I stopped walking with a limp so I would imagine yours could take some time. Try not to do much on it and rest it when it starts to ache.
