A few years ago I saw a tv programme about a doctor from somewhere in East Europ. who claimed to be able to cure asmtha by introducing new breathing methods. Does anyone have any further info

Google it as it would be easier than me trying to explain it. I know it helps some people as I have a lot of experience in breathing techniques over 35 years of Yoga teaching. Daffy is right you need to breathe properly but some things work for some people and Buteyko is one of them.

I wouldn't say there is no 'cure' for asthma. Certainly a lot of kids get it and grow out of it as I have. I had about three 'attacks' in my adult life so far and they were due to going into a house with a lot of fluffy cats!
