When I have deployed to hot and sandy places; the people who have suffered worst with the heat are the larger individuals.
The skinny folks generally have a more a more stable core temperature, due to a combination of more exercise and healthier living conditions; where as the larger chaps (myself included) sweat like blondes in a spelling test for a while until we get ourselves used to the conditions and improve our levels of fitness.

i nearly choked on my oatibix jugs, thinking about the man.
remember i go to a school that has someone who is a maths mentor who got an 'e' in their gcse maths, a geography teacher who swore at a maths teacher because he thinks geo is more important even though the maths teacher only wanted to take a person out for one lesson, as they are failing maths and it is more important than geo, my maths group haven't had a teacher thats lasted more than 10 weeks, where the art exams are a farse, where my gay friend is in a class taught by a homophobic teacher, so he is always ignored when needs help, and picked on to answer questions, but nothing can be proven, and according to ofsted, we are a good school.

When I was younger(ahem)in winter I would put on a stone in weight, then lose it again, even though my habbits never changed.GP said it was bodys way of protecting itself against cold.
I agree with bigsister(well done by the way)The more I weigh, the hotter I feel, the less, colder.Great for saving on heating bills, but hell in the summer.Sweat was a huge issue last summer having put on weight, but when I was ill and weighing not much I thought I would never sweat again(I wish!!)
I dont know what the connection is,maybe something to do with body defenses but there is one.Maybe I will try and be fat and fit,see if that makes a difference!
