I've been on this for 4 weeks now and there is no sign of improvement. I just wanted to ask anybody who is on this medication - eg(marval) should I be seeing gradual signs of improvement or does it all happen at once. I know it is a slow working drug but should I be noticing a change by now. Thanks

you may be on the wrong dose. It took about 2-3 months to work for me

What dosage were you on boxtops - I was on 7.5 for 2 weeks now I'm on 10
Hi Peri

Don't worry, it took about six weeks before I saw an improvement. They have made a big difference, but it was gradual. I still have very cold hands, and opening jars is a problem, but they are much better. I hope you see an improvement soon. If you ever need anything to make life easier, or for your hands this is a good site.

There are forums for arthritis sufferers, I haven't been on one yet, but it might be worth a look.

Take care

Thanks marval - you can understand my frustration
Yes Peri I can understand your frustration. It is not easy, I started on 7.5mg, but am now on 10mg. It helps to talk to other people with it, but not everyone has the same experience. All I can say is stick with it, if you really think eventually it is not doing anything, tell your doctor.
My mum is on this and it took her a few months to notice a difference
