Does anyone know of any Asberger's Syndrome support groups in the UK, and has anyone got any great recommendations for schools for 8/9 year olds?

Asberger's syndrome is believed to be a variant of autism. Often it is not seen as a medical condition, but as a quirky personality trait. People with Asberger's are detached, lack humour, and are unable to communicate easily. The National Autistic Society helpline (0870 600 8585, Mon-Fri 10am-4pm) can offer support and advice.
Join WrongPlanet.net, one of the biggest online support sites for people with AS. I have AS and find this site great, I know you posted this in 2001 and I just stumbled upon it, you have probably joined wrong planet by now.
i use the following site on behalf of me son, whose stepdaughter has aspergers, its really good as most questions are answered by adults who have aspergers, or their partners
