When one clicks on the avatar, up comes the statistics on that particular person.

Sometimes under 'Gender' it will say "not set".

Does that mean for some reason, the person does not want people to know if they are female or male or ??????

Or perhaps they are still closeted?

I don't know why this particular piece of info is on our public profiles. I don't remember anyone asking us if we minded it being made public - part of the fun of AB was not knowing anything about posters unless they chose to tell us. As joko says, what has it got to do with being an ABmember?

Now how can you possibly say that I targeted my question at any particular ABer, and even if I did how the hell would I know they are on holiday?

Some posters have said that knowing a poster's gender is irrelevant, well I disagree.

The above inaccurate and absurd conclusions that swedeheart has come to could be excused and put down to women's intuition, if know that person was female.

On the other hand I would not insult a woman in such a way, but if I knew that person was a male, I would say that person's user-name should be changed to......
