Afternoon,

I need to get some new GHD's. I previously owned the purple ones (because it was my birthday and they were pretty and my dad could find them easily) but don't really know that much about them and which are the better ones for my hair.

My hair is mid-lenth, possibly described as fine but there's a lot of it so it's quite curly/frizzy/big at times and dyed if that helps.

Any advice?

Cheers

Apparantly this brand are really good - I am hankering for some I think my birthday. They use a lower heat then GHD's which is according to the website and my hairdresser better for styling?!
I bought the daughter the GHD IV styler.......her hair pretty much sounds like yours with blonde highlights. She loves them but at over £100 she bloody should......

I thought more heat was better Greedy? Rarely argue with a hairdresser though! (Did you see about dianette?)

Craft - I will mainly be using ebay! Bloody things cost a fortune and I'm pretty miffed I have to get a new set.
China if you go to the same hairdresser all the time they might get them cheaper at trade price for you (that's how I bought the daughters).

My last hair cut cost twice as much as the poxy straightners nearly (I hadn't bothered going for six months) and took 3 hours so yeah, I'd say my hair dresser and I know each other quite well... I'll pop in and see her tonight, good plan batman!
China - got a docs app this week, so will see then. Yeah according to the place I got to the place I go this is the review they give.

On Cloud Nine. We've been searching for the perfect straightening iron for too long and finally they've arrived... 'Cloud Nines'. In our opinion, these amazing irons give performance & control that easily rivals the GHD but without the frightening 230° heat that leaves your hair dry & brittle. In fact, the secret technology in these plates actually adds shine & sparkle with every stroke. The variable temperature control means you can curl, flick or wave your hair as low as 100° or even get super thick hair poker straight at the max temp of 200°. We now ONLY use 'Cloud Nine' irons in the salon because we believe that less heat really does give more style!

Well they're definitely not on ebay Greedy... unfortunately.

I shall have a whitter with the hairdresser about those, they sound pretty interesting...
I am fortunate to have fairly straight hair but have been looking into getting some. They sound pretty good, I had a google there are a few reviews - they seem pretty new?!

These are the ones my oh bought me two xmases ago, they are still working perfectly even though my hair is much longer now than it was then. I prefer the mini styler as it enables you to straighten the hair from the root easily.

Had a look at those daffy, I think I'd be there for hours with my hair! Nice idea though as cheaper so pretty damn tempting! ;0)
Stick with the GHD's ... when they eventually fail, are you aware of how much they fetch even when faulty ?
I've sold my wifes for £35 and my daughters for £29 on eBay.
So although you pay a premium when you buy them initialy ... you get a fair return when they pack up...a little tip... keep the box, it gives the image of a .. 'cared for'.. item when you sell them.

Oh aye! Saw some stuff on ebay advertising faulty GHD's, couldn't for the life of me work out why anyone would want those but ta for the tip! :c)
